The Inside Acting Podcast
This is another fantastic resource that can be accessed from anywhere in the world! Led by two rising actors, Travor Algatt and AJ Meijer, the Inside Acting Podcast offers insights into careers all across the entertainment industry, including casting directors, filmmakers, actors, agents, publicists, writers, and more. The hosts also offer tips on how to progress and develop a career in both Los Angeles and New York. Actors living in LA can actually attend “meet ups” to meet the hosts of the podcast as well as other listeners! There are hundreds of episodes available for download on iTunes.
The LA Actors Tweetup and NY Actors Tweetup
This unique, FREE networking event brings together actors of all experience levels via social media! Though the Tweetup is advertised via Twitter and social media platforms, the event itself is a very welcoming, laid back social gathering that provides actors an opportunity to connect and share resources. At the LA Actors Tweetup, hosts Ben Whitehair and Carrie Daniel, both professional actors, bring in expert guest speakers from the film industry, including casting directors, managers and agents. In NYC, hosts Erin Cronican and Marissa Mutascio run the NY Actors Tweetup. If you live in the UK, you can also check out the UK Actors Tweetup, hosted by Angela Peters and Andrea Farrena in London!
